
SYNOPSIS:
Set in a dusty 1954 Israeli village still reeling from the trauma of World War II, Eva (Rotem Sela) a charming and enigmatic seamstress, arrives with her young daughter in search of a fresh start. She soon captivates Shalom Gottlieb (Fauda’s Lior Raz), a factory foreman and former partisan fighter. But when whispers emerge that Eva may have been a Kapo in the camps, the fragile bond between them threatens to unravel. As the community turns suspicious, Shalom is torn between his passion for Eva and loyalty to his past.

Opening Night Includes the world premiere of the HKJFF debut production Cat Street Torah, a short animated film that reveals a remarkable local story.
