SYNOPSIS:

Book of Ruth is a powerful drama about faith, grief, and resilience. Ruth and Shmuel, a young Haredi (ultra-Orthodox Jewish) couple devoted to family and religious tradition, see their world shattered by the accidental death of their young son. As Shmuel turns inward toward religious repentance, Ruth begins to question the beliefs and social constraints that have shaped her life. Blending raw emotion with moments of quiet surrealism, the film explores love, loss, and the courage to ask difficult questions in a world where doubt is rarely allowed.
