SYNOPSIS:

A little-known Jewish community in rural Uganda dreams of reaching the Promised Land through their devoted practice of Judaism. When they encounter a group of Orthodox Israeli rabbis, including the charismatic Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, everyone is destined to be transformed. Director TamA!s Wormser documents the extraordinary encounter over seven years, crafting a nuanced and visually arresting documentary, while reflecting on wealth, identity, religion, Israelas place in the Jewish community and the long shadow of African colonialism.
